Evolution of a Chair

This chair came to our house in really bad shape. It was nicked, scratched and smelled like smoke (don't get me started on the old upholstery).  I sanded it, and used a home recipe of chalk paint then went to work on the cushions. I had some left over fabric from a drum shade that I'd just made so I think I have about $15.00 into the cost of materials.  Hope you like! (P.S. On this piece I used a coat of polyurethane instead of wax.)

Hand Made Stamps

It's been a busy summer with garden projects, house projects and life in general. Jake just started preschool again three mornings a week so there's a little extra time for art projects too.
Been making hand made stamps, and then cards. Here are some samples of what I've done. They are for sale so if anything strikes your fancy, let me know and I can send you pricing.

Learning to Sew

Thought I'd try to learn how to sew.  Here are some projects recently completed. The flowers on the front of the pillows are hand dyed. Super fun to do!

Winter Projects

As winter continues to slog on and on, I've been working on a few new things for Paper Hat in Minneapolis.  If you are in the neighborhood of Penn and 50th, stop by for lots of great art and crafts!
